Roof for a playing field

This roof framework was originally planned as roofing for the basketball sports field at the Universidad Tecnólogica in Pereira geplant worden. An area terrace gave the idea to raise the eaves in order to provide even light inside.
The supporting structure consists of trusses that are up to 33.0 meters long, 4.0 meters broad and 3.0 meters high, span a support-free distance of 27.0 meters and can arbitrarily often be lined up.

Perspective 2

The form of the structure looks very organic because of its arched top boom and the elements that are repeatedly join into one point. Asymmetry of the trusses and the many diagonals create a dynamic impression.
It is possible to use this design for other utilization purposes, too. In case of even terrain, the difference in height could be compensated by secondary rooms.

Reception building

This building is a design of a reception building for the education center for bamboo Guadua of CRQ (Corporación Autónoma Regional Del Quindío) in Armenia.
The top floor floats on eight tree supports so that it seems very lightweight as well as easily recognizable from the distance. The roof consists of straight, crossed lying Guadua bars that form a very stiff surface.

Perspective 2

The roof opens to one side, suggesting an inviting curtain. This triangular form transmits a gesture of reconciliation to the visitor (cf. the famous pleated hands of Albrecht Dürer).
Moreover, the form of the building could be interpreted as a funnel or a cornucopia, because the axis of the construction points to the center of the education facility.

Pavilion

This pavilion was designed for the botanical garden in Verona Beach, Miami. The support structure is a symmetrical frame structure over a square ground plan.
The entrances at all sides and the lantern emphasize the center and the meeting-point character, consequently.

Perspective 2

The pavilion is prefabricated in Colombia and then built in Miami. So the construction time on site will be very short.
